Requirements

Active 7 Days to Die server hosted by Final Hosting

Access to your Pterodactyl Panel (panel.finalhosting.net)

FTP client (optional but useful, e.g., FileZilla)
Basic Setup
1. Access Your Server

Log in to your Pterodactyl panel.

Click on your 7 Days to Die server to open its dashboard.
2. Start/Stop/Restart Your Server

Use the Console tab to start, stop, or restart your server.

You can also send in-game console commands directly from here.
⚙️ Server Configuration
3. Edit Server Settings (e.g., Name, World, Max Players)

Go to the Startup tab.

You’ll see key config options like:

SERVERNAME
– Your server's displayed name -
WORLD
– Choose the map (e.g., Navezgane or RWG) -
MAXPLAYERS
– Set your player limit

Change values as needed and restart the server to apply changes.

Editing serverconfig.xml

Open the File Manager tab or connect via FTP.

Navigate to
/home/container/serverconfig.xml

Use the built-in editor or download/upload via FTP to edit.

Restart your server after saving changes.
⚠️ Always make a backup before modifying critical config files.
Changing Maps / Worlds
Option 1: Pre-Generated World (e.g., Navezgane)

In the Startup tab, set
WORLD
to:
Option 2: Random Gen World (RWG)

WORLD

You can specify a seed and world size in the startup settings.
The server will auto-generate the map if it doesn’t exist already.
Updating Your Server
Method 1: Using Reinstall (No Data Loss)

Go to the Settings tab.

Click Reinstall.

Confirm by clicking "Yes, reinstall".
⚠️ This does NOT delete your world or files.
Method 2: Manual Update

Stop your server.
-
Use the "Reinstall" button or manually upload updated files via FTP.

Start your server.
Common Issues & Fixes
Issue | Fix |

Can’t connect to server | Verify serverconfig.xml settings, contact support if needed |
World not loading | Ensure the correct WORLD and SEED are set |
Installing Mods (Server-Side)

Download your desired mod.

Open the File Manager or connect via FTP.

Upload mods to the
Mods
folder. -
Restart the server.
Some mods may require client-side installation as well.
