Locate
server.properties
Look for the file namedserver.properties
. If it’s not there, start your server once — it will create the file automatically. -

Make your changes
-
Change
max-players
to set the max number of players you want. -
Change
gamemode
to survival, creative, adventure, or spectator. -
Set
difficulty
to peaceful, easy, normal, or hard. -
Update
level-name
if you want to use a custom world folder. -
Change
motd
to the message you want players to see in the server list.
-
-
Save your changes
Hit the save button once you’re done editing. -
Restart your server
Go back to your Final Hosting server page and restart the server to apply your changes.
Tips
-
Always back up your
server.properties
before making big changes. -
Avoid setting
online-mode=false
unless you know what you’re doing (it lets players join without a legit Minecraft account). -
Make sure
max-players
matches what your hosting plan supports. -
To use a custom world, upload the world folder via File Manager and update
level-name
accordingly.
